Comparing versions of Linux

There are many versions of Linux to choose from. There is the most popular version, the Ubuntu project and the second most popular Fedora CORE. I have no idea why these are the two most popular because they aren't equipped with lots of software that can be very useful. The version that I recommend using is openSUSE or Debian. I do recommend using openSUSE more though. It is meant for easy personal and networking computing so, pretty much all the software that you need is there. Debian is a really close follow up. It has almost all the software that openSUSE has so, if you for some reason don't like openSUSE (which I don't think will happen), get Debian. I also recommend using the KDE desktop environment. It is more like windows so it should be easier to use than gnome. If you are a computer wizard (like me), go with gnome. It is your choice after all. If you want to get openSUSE, go to opensuse.org.
To get Debian, go to debian.org.
